TERMS OF USE / EFFECTIVE JULY 15, 2026
Use Patchloop for honest playtest work.
These terms govern Patchloop accounts, public pages, private playtests, Signals, release rooms, findings, decisions, verification, and consented public credit.
Patchloop is an open-beta service for adults. Discord provides account identity; project ownership, build safety, contribution quality, and public credit each require their own checks.
OUR COMMITMENTS
Agreement and eligibility
By using Patchloop, you agree to these terms, the Privacy policy, the Safety policy, and the Community rules. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter this agreement. Keep control of your Discord account and notify Patchloop through the applicable safety route if you believe your account or private build access has been compromised.
Accounts and project claims
Use one account and provide accurate profile, game, build, and access information. Do not impersonate another person, evade a restriction, operate duplicate accounts to manipulate Signals, or share private workspace access.
Discord identity does not prove ownership of a game. A public project claim requires a separate site, store, source, or manual ownership check before Patchloop marks it verified.
Playtests and Signals
A mission names the immutable build, focused question, timebox, proof requirement, available seats, and Patchloop-set Signal reward before reservation. Complete the stated work honestly to earn the quoted Signals.
Signals are non-transferable testing credits, not money, property, a security, or a guarantee of attention. They cannot be purchased, sold, withdrawn, or redeemed for cash. Patchloop may reverse credit tied to fraud, duplicate accounts, fabricated play, collusion, or a successfully resolved safety incident.
- Critical findings earn the same quoted Signals as positive findings when the required work is complete.
- A creator may record shipped, planned, declined, needs-clarification, or needs-more-evidence decisions, but may not rewrite the original finding.
- A match, seat, completed playtest, useful finding, fix, verification result, or public credit is never guaranteed.
Builds and external services
Creators may submit only build destinations they control or are authorized to share. Accurately disclose platform, access class, version, requirements, permissions, content warnings, and uninstall steps. A changed destination or build requires a new immutable record.
Patchloop checks supported link and access classes but cannot guarantee that an external game, store, beta service, or destination is uninterrupted or free of defects. Follow the Safety policy and report suspicious behavior from the relevant room.
- Do not distribute arbitrary executables, archives, shortened links, raw-IP hosts, credentials, phishing, malware, or instructions to weaken device protections.
- Third-party services retain their own terms and privacy practices.
Your conduct and content
Submit only material you have the right to share. Do not harass people, expose private information, fabricate play, recycle evidence, manipulate rewards, violate build confidentiality, or pressure anyone to change honest feedback.
You keep ownership of your original content and grant Patchloop the limited permission needed to store, process, secure, and display it for the service. Public credit requires the affected contributor’s consent.
Privacy, safety, and enforcement
Use the report, leave, and block controls in the relevant release room. Patchloop may quarantine a build or suspend account access through its audited safety workflow to protect people and the integrity of the exchange.
Patchloop is not an emergency service. If anyone is in immediate danger, contact the appropriate local emergency service first.
Availability, warranty, and liability
The service is provided as is and as available, to the fullest extent permitted by law. Patchloop does not warrant uninterrupted operation, a particular match or outcome, or that every external build is error-free or suitable for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss arising from the service, external links, third-party builds, unavailable services, or reliance on a possible playtest or result. These terms do not exclude rights or liability that applicable law does not allow to be excluded.
